Our 19th Birthday occurs on July 1, 2012. It is hard to believe the years have gone so quickly. Four of our original staff of six are stll with us. They are; Andreas Reinold, Annette Baird, Pauline and myself. Andreas is currently in Germany where his son has been holidaying during the school holidays. Annette is cruising with her two children We are very proud of both of these people and admire their personal and professional behaviour. Other staff have come and gone over the years for various personal reasons. Diane Goulas (ex-Qantas) moved to Glebe and could no longer work full time due to her child caring committments, still works for us from home. Olga Nemirovska (previously owned Bondi Travel) worked for us full time and now works at home servicing in particular our Russian Speaking clients.
Two additions to our current team are Louisa Cortes and Andrew Parchimowicz. Louisa handles all our South American clients. Andrew acts as as an assistant to Pauline and myself, (he is a whiz with all the techno stuff) as well as serving his own holiday and cruising clientele.
Cruising has, as they say, grown like Topsy (can you say that anymore in this day and age?), and dominates our business. However, besides cruising, flights and holiday packages we have developed strong niche markets in Art Tours, Cuba and Sri Lanka. We have never aspired to become a big travel agency with lots of product and outlets, being all things to all clients, but have preferred to be a personal, family style agency.
Cruising, art tours and Cuba dominate our business. Recently we celebrated out most successful cruise booking day with 16 cruises booked in one day. Our next escorted cruise is on Silver Shadow (Singapore to Sydney) in December, 2012. This is our fourth time on this particular cruise. In 2013 we feature Tokyo to Anchorage - also on Silver Shadow.
